I guess my best surprise gift was my engagement ring... After 10 years I had almost given up hope.!! X Marie x
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a lovely surprise Marie, and very romantic.
DeleteA stomach pain which my GP diagnosed as a UTI.... which turned out to be our firstborn letting us know that seven months later she would be transforming our lives!
ReplyDeleteAngi
My best ever Christmas present was a Sindy dolls house which I got as a child from my parents. It was a total surprise as I hadn't even put it in my list for Santa. I kept it for years and was gutted when my mum persuaded me to give it a way. I spent many years playing with my dolls and the house even well into my teens.
ReplyDeleteI loved playing with my Doll's House too Sarah and I had a Sindy doll but never had her own house :)
DeleteI'm hoping for the best present ever this Christmas - a cancer free husband!
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers are with you and your husband, Linda, let's hope so x
DeleteI was finished from work at Christmas 11 years ago & given a reduced pension to live on ! BUT THE LAST 11 YEARS HAVE BEEN THE BEST OF MY LIFE and I don't regret one day of being "kicked out". Reading is just one of the many things I now have time to do, and enjoy doing.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your retirement worked out for you...but please come back and tell me WHO YOU ARE ???
DeleteA Kindle. I didn't think that I would like it, but I usually read a book or two on it a week.

DeleteMy best surprise present was on my 50th birthday. My OH had already spoilt me with a weekend away in a posh hotel and a pearl necklace but then produced an ipad as a surprise. As a gadget girl I was delighted and I still use it every day.
ReplyDeleteThat was a lovely birthday surprise,Karen. I love my ipad too and use it all the time.
DeleteBest surprise present was my flute which I got from my husband a few years ago. I had wanted to play at school but they didn't have enough flutes and I got an oboe instead which I hated! I have now been having lessons for nearly a couple of years and love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gift. My daughter learned to play the flute - it sounds beautiful x
DeleteBest present for me was meeting my soul mate 28 years ago - he didn't come wrapped with a ribbon but he was clutching a bottle of wine and a was covered in party popper wrapper!!!! He has been my absolute rock. Lisa xx
