COME AND SPEND SUMMER BY THE SEA!

WANTED! A caretaker for Roundhouse Row holiday cottages.

WHERE? Nelson’s Bar is the perfect little village. Nestled away on the Norfolk coast we can offer you no signal, no Wi-Fi and – most importantly – no problems!

WHO? The ideal candidate will be looking for an escape from their cheating scumbag ex-fiancé, a diversion from their entitled cousin, and a break from their traitorous friends.

WHAT YOU’LL GET! Accommodation in a chocolate-box cottage, plus a summer filled with blue skies and beachside walks. Oh, and a reunion with the man of your dreams.

PLEASE NOTE: We take no responsibility for any of the above scumbags, passengers and/or traitors walking back into your life…

My thoughts..

When Clancy Moss suffers a devastating event in both her personal and business life, she escapes to the tiny hamlet of Nelson's Bar, a tiny seaside village hidden away on the Norfolk coast. There she takes over the responsibility of looking after a group of holiday homes, a job which should, on the surface, offer a quiet respite, but as Clancy finds out to her cost, old memories run deep and first she must win over the trust of the villagers who have just cause to be wary.

What then follows is a beautifully written story about fresh opportunities, the joy of new friendships and the importance of learning how to put past troubles behind you. The wonderful characters who live in the quirky village of Nelson’s Bar are an interesting bunch, and add such a joyous feel to the story, especially Dilys and Ernie, who made me laugh, however, it was the lovely, Aaron who added such a special feel to the story.

There are a few authors whose books I can’t wait to read, and who I know will never let me down, and as always, this talented author has struck gold again with a story which warmed my heart right from the very beginning. I fell in love with the characters, the wild Norfolk setting, and became so invested in the story that I really wanted everything to work out well, but of course, as always, you must read it for yourself to find out what happens.

A Summer to Remember is an absolutely perfect summer read by an author who really knows how to bring a story alive in the imagination. I do hope we meet up again with the inhabitants of Nelson's Bar in future stories.
